1) This group contains many fictional offensive situations within it. If you have any issues or concerns about joining do not be afraid to ask. We require censors on X-Rated rp’s/art or ones with excessive gore (as per DeviantArt standards.)
-Expect sex, drugs, gore, etc. explicit themes to occur with TDE-This group is 13+ but is fairly R-Rated.-If you are easily triggered by explicit themes this is not the group for you.-While we are accommodating OOC, all offensive fictional IC situations are up to the characters.
2) You may only start off with one character. This character can be either healthy or infected, and live in Eden or the Wasteland respectively. Other characters can be bought for skelts.
3) To join you must send a proper request with a FULLY finished character. This means an app with all specifications drawn and listed. The Character CreationJournal has everything you need to know, but here are some highlights:
-Infected characters must look infected-Eden dogs must have a gas mask-Traditional Refs are allowed if they are a clear scan. Must include digital color swatch for the colors.-Color swatches for Digital refs are only necessary for complex character designs but it is suggested to have them anyway.-Please do not shade the app drawing-Application format must be fully written out-Character size should be listed as both inches/centimeters and pounds/kilograms.-Character size must be breed appropriate-Breed(s) must be listed. Even for mutts, please list the dominant breed(s)
4) All individuals must keep a skelt chart and keep track of their earnings. It is not up to us to track your skelts for you, and we use these charts to make sure that you are not abusing the skelt earning system.
5) “Special” ranked characters (ex: Carriers, Higher Level Infected, Council Members, etc…) are closed and only allowed on a person by person basis. New members cannot start with a special character. These ranks are earned and can only be distributed by the Admins.
6) This is an art rp group. Though you don’t need to be the best artist, expect to have to draw for some events.
7) This is also a literate rp group. You are expected to be proficient in writing to join TDE. This means writing in complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling.
8) There is no religion in the world of TDE. These are dogs who, for the most part, cannot read and none of them have ever seen a human. Religion and all known religions died out with humanity. Though relics may be found (crosses, crumbling churches, decayed spiritual texts) the dogs have no concept of what they represent. Eden dogs can be spiritual and believe that we're all here for a reason or that there must be something more than all this, but a physical heaven, hell, or deity do not exist as concepts to them. The closest thing Eden has to anything religious is The White Shepherd, who has been promoted to something of legend within their eyes and is often used colloquially ("Shepherd grant me the serenity." vs "God grant me the serenity.")
-The dogs of Eden are not aware of any human religionsThe closest thing that TDE has to religious dogs are Eaters. Eaters are seen as the raging crazies of the Wasteland, even by other Wastelanders, in part BECAUSE they have delusions of a higher power. Besides, y’know the mass slaughterings and eating everything in their line of sight. Though these are still delusions, there are no actual deities within the world of TDE.
-They do not believe in any gods, "God" or otherwise.
-No dog alive in Eden has ever seen a human, and the vast majority of Eden dogs cannot read. So they would have no concept of religion
-Eaters and Eaters alone may choose to "worship" things
-That is because they are psycho-crazy-bonkers and see/hear things that are not real.
9) The Mods have supreme authority in the group. Growlipsis is the group leader and has the final say, while her Admins act as a lower level of authority within the group.
10) The Admins are your friends and are here to make sure TDE runs smoothly, but if for any reason, you happen to have an issue with one of our admins, please don’t hesitate to talk to another admin about it. If you wish to keep it private, just note one of the admins privately.
-Please don't note an admins personal account with questions - those can be directed at the group.-The only case you should note an admin is if there's something you wish to discuss privately (issues with mods / member drama / etc) or if they ask you to (for roleplays and the like)."-If you would like to expressly ask a certain Admin a question just address it to them when you note the group. For example: asking Starliaison about convoys.
11) If for any reason you have issue with another person's character in the group, note the group. Do NOT confront the other individual for "character theft", note us and let the admins deal with it.
-Tell us expressly why you think it is character theft
-We repeat, Do NOT confront the other user. Do not cause unnecessary conflict.
-If we find out that you have been attacking other users behind the Admins backs you will end up being the one in trouble.
12) If you receive a comment or note from the TDE Funds account for one of your characters, anything written within is to be kept a secret.
-You will most likely be receiving plot involvement or secret plot information-We will say whether or not it is okay to share this information, and if so when
13) You must ask permission/notify Admins when making changes to your character. This includes such major changes as:
-Becoming Mates
-Becoming Infected
-Changing character traits/personality
-Changing Careers
-Any other changes that literally change the character that we have accepted.
14) We have a number of Journals for a reason. Anything you need to know about TDE can be found inside the Journals. If for any reason you cannot find what you need try the FAQ or comment on a Journal/note the group to have your question answered.
15) We do not tolerate bullying, sexism, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, or bigotry of any kind within TDE. It is one thing for your character to be biased but not you. The world of TDE may be cruel but we are not and want to create a place where you the roleplayer feel safe and welcome.
16) All roleplayers are allowed one NPC. This character is bought for skelts and does not count towards your character slot number. However, this character will be completely NON PLAYABLE and will act only as a background character. Because of this they are not allowed to act as filler characters for Minor Packs or within Convoys.
-NPC’s are allowed freely within Eden but cannot hold an active position.-Since this character is only there to exist in the background, it can be used by and referenced by anyone. If you are not okay with this, leave said character as existing only in your OC’s history.-You cannot roleplay as your NPC, they are not an actual character.-NPC’s are allowed freely within the major Infected packs and as unaffiliated free roamers. Minor packs may not have NPC’s.-Admins may have user-controlled (and therefore closed) NPC’s that can only be used by them. These characters exist solely because they are specifically used for Plot purposes.-Plot NPC’s are different than regular NPC’s. They can be roleplayed with, but can only be controlled by their Admin. RPing with them will count as plot involvement!
17) TDE has a three strike policy. Once someone has reached these three strikes, they are permanently removed from the group.We will generally warn you to correct your behavior before a strike is administered. Ways to gain strikes include but are not limited to:
-Bigoted/hateful speech toward other roleplayers-God-Modding-Making non approved changes to your character after they have been accepted-Skipping Event involvement-Willfully breaking the group rules-And other items to be decided upon by the Admins.
Depending on the severity of your actions, the Admins may vote to overrule the three strike policy and immediately remove you from the group. This would only happen in extreme cases of rule breaking that involve unforgivable actions.
